Trat to develop Mairood sub-district in response to increasing growth in special economic zone
Mayor of Mairood Sub-District Administrative Organization revealed the use of land to develop as the special economic zone by expanding the road surface, as well as constructing of a cargo inspection station. It is expected to be settled by 2017, and it is ready to open for crossing of tourists from neighboring country for relaxing along the local beaches. On September 12, 2016, Mr. Surasak Intaraprasert, Mayor of Mairood Sub-District Administrative Organization in Klong Yai district of Trat province said at present the total public areas of Mairood sub-district of 800 Rais has been declared as Trat Special Economic Zone covering a total area of 3 villages.
