Sustainability redefined

A Unesco-supported Biosphere Reserve in Chiang Mai has been so successful it’s serving as a model for programmes all over the region.

Located at the head of the Mae Sa Watershed in the Mae Sa-Kog Ma Biosphere Reserve – a crucial component of the greater Chiang Mai region water supply – the sleepy mountain town of Pong Krai has traditionally been home to the hilltribe people of Northern Thailand.
