Mae Sot-Myawaddy Special Economic Zones accelerate infrastructure development in response to increasing investment.

Mae Sot is the small town in the middle of the valley in Tak province, but it is increasingly attractive to both Thai and foreign investors. Mae Sot is cross-border trade city linking with Myawaddy city in Karen State of Myanmar. Coupled with the Government’s policies to establish Tak Special Economic Zone since January 2015, it helps strengthen Mae Sot, which is 1 of 3 districts in Tak Special Economic Zonee–Mae Sot, Mae Ramat and Pobpra–to be even more attractive investment base. During the last 2 years, Mae Sot has been remarkably transformed.
