Commerce Ministry seeks B6bn to bolster recovery

The Commerce Ministry is seeking more than 6 billion baht to fund various projects aimed primarily at helping farmers increase sales by improving their product distribution channels, a source at the ministry said.

Funding for the programmes will be taken out of the 400-billion-baht budget that the government has set aside for economic and social rehabilitation, which in turn is part of the 1.97-trillion-baht Covid-19 recovery expenditure plan, the source said.
