Thailand’s business world got in training this week to cut carbon ahead of the UN’s COP 26 climate conference in November. The “Race to Zero: Meet the World’s Race to Zero Heroes for Climate Action” guided more than 400 public and private-sector organisations on practical steps towards the goal of net-zero carbon emissions.

The “Race to Zero: Meet the World’s Race to Zero Heroes for Climate Action” guided more than 400 public and private-sector organisations on practical steps towards the goal of net-zero carbon emissions.

The participating entities represented a broad cross-section of the domestic economy, stretching well beyond traditional heavy industry. While agricultural exporters and automotive manufacturers focused on supply chain logistics, the technology sector was equally engaged in the transition. Software studios developing mobile casino apps, regional telecommunications providers, and major e-commerce platforms attended the workshops to evaluate how shifting to renewable energy hosting and optimizing their data center architectures could substantially lower their overall digital footprints.
