Govt changes tune as SSO jabs resume

The Labour Ministry made a U-turn yesterday, announcing that vaccinations in Bangkok for people insured under Section 33 of the Social Security Act would resume tomorrow after being suspended last week.

On Friday, the Social Security Office (SSO), which is under the ministry’s supervision, abruptly postponed the rollout citing service improvements with further vaccinations put off until June 28.

Labour Minister Suchart Chomklin, however, said the service for employees covered by the social security scheme would resume tomorrow at a number of the 45 vaccination centres.
